: Bike Trials
TJpwr 02-23-2002, 02:12 PM Anyone ride trials? If so where and what bike? I have a 2000 Monty mod. I used to compete in the expert mod class but I too damn lazy now:( I'm trying to get back into it though.

Are you looking for places to ride?
I live in L.G too. There are tones of places to ride. Sokel Demo Forest off Summit Road, Skaggs over Woodside (longer drive), Kennedy (long climb), Santa Cruz...
We can hook up for a ride one of these days :)
TJpwr 02-25-2002, 11:35 PM Yeah Man I have ridden at all those places but they require going up hill and I am just WAY to lazy to go and do something crazy like ride up hill. :)
Anyway I was just wondering if anyone knew what Trials was and if by some wild chance anyone on here rode.
Phil:usa:
P.S. I'm that kid you met in LG with the black TJ.

What's up man? Haven't seen you in a while.
So when are we going to ride? Stop being a :roxy:

The "Castro" of Silicon Valley:D :D
You guys need to comew up here and ride in Tam
TJpwr 02-26-2002, 11:00 AM Hey man your the one that lives in SF so I would not go shouting :rainbow: stuff:flipoff2:
And I honestly don't want to sound like a snob but LG is about as far from a "hood" as you can get. All the rich fucks just would not let that stand.
I hope your just joking around.
TJpwr 02-26-2002, 11:03 AM I actually just moved up to Quincy,CA but this summer we can definatly ride and wheel. Maybe spring break... I've got my bikes up here and it's getting warmer so I'm going to start riding.
Back to Trials does anyone at least know what it is????

I know what it is, I just cant hang.:D :flipoff2:
Love to watch it though, there's always a trials comp. as part of the Rage in the Sage race here every summer. I always try stuff on my mtn bike, but I balance much better at high speeds.:D
TJpwr 02-27-2002, 11:02 AM If you like it enough just keep riding. Not to say that I'm totally bad ass at Trials but you sound just like how I was when I stated riding. Just on a mountain bike bending chainrings:) It can be a lot of fun.

ianbike 02-27-2002, 11:49 PM All I know about trials is that it looks hella hard, fun, and time consuming. One of my buddies rode trials, the fool could do insane stuff like jumping on top of those bolted down garbage cans an then hopping on them till he got bored. If you can do trials you got some skill. Leonel...I'm not so sure if Tam is really cracked up to be what everyone says it is. Granted the area has tons of good stuff, but come on theres much better in other areas. The whole Diablo area is incredible, Briones, Napa, Berkeley/Oakland Hills, Santa Cruz, and I'm sure theres tight stuff near the Silicon Valley. I'm not trying to bash Tam, it is an awesome area I just think it shouldn't be hyped up so much.
bulldozer 03-01-2002, 11:53 AM All of you need to grab your bikes and rigs and head to Moab. Ride in the morning and wheel in the afternoon. Way too many trails to try. You could do trials until your heart's content.
ianbike 03-03-2002, 12:50 PM Moab might be next year for me. This year I already have planned San Diego, Idaho, and Canada as my biking destinations. On top of that it's time to SAS and wheel my rig and also buy a new bike.

Try Porcupine and/or Amassa back next time you're there. Both sweet rides.
