SuperDavesYJ 04-18-2005, 10:33 PM I just lifted my jeep 11in & I have to figure out how long of brake lines I need. I was wondering how much extra play should I have when the jeep is sitting level. From frame to caliper is 27 /28 in so how long should I get? 35 / 36 in lines. Beat95YJ 04-18-2005, 10:49 PM A couple of things to think about: How much droop travel do you have? How much extra do you need when the knuckle is turned? I like to flex it out to check the length. Nate95 04-19-2005, 12:48 AM All lifts flex differently so definitely flex it out you don't want your break line acting as a limiting strap. Also if it too long you risk the chance of catching it on something on the trail or it catching in your suspension or rubbing. geberhard 04-19-2005, 09:56 AM flex one side and measure :) always go for longer break lines.
