I stripped a center pin in the front, while flipping it to under the spring for the SOA!!:mad: Dang it, this little arss town it will take a week to get a new one! I just order new U bolt, which will be in on Tuesday, tomarrows sunday, so I will order it Mon and probably won't be in till next week or something!!!:mad3:

Dude, just cut off any extra threads and drill out the hole in the perch. It all works great and is plenty strong. It seems that every time we've messed with taking out the center bolt we've had to replace it.

Yeah, thats a good idea... I will have to do that with the other side.. The side I stripped the actual threads stripped(somehow)... so that pin is shot! maybe I'll just buy a 3/8" bolt same length as the center pin and throw that in there...

grade-8 bolt with the head rounded (just take the points off) works just find as a substatute.
I always up-grade to 3/8" center pins anyway. You need to drill the springs sometimes, a SHARP 3/8 bit and a little cutting oil and its a piece of cake.
I've never been able to "save" a stock center pin anyway, not worth it. I always buy new ones BEFORE I start... o-well.

I know, I know.....I should've bought this stuff before, but I've always been one to learn the hard way....
