It all works great and is plenty strong. It seems that every time we've messed with taking out the center bolt we've had to replace it. ihman 02-23-2002, 10:47 PM Yeah, thats a good idea... I will have to do that with the other side.. The side I stripped the actual threads stripped(somehow)... so that pin is shot! maybe I'll just buy a 3/8" bolt same length as the center pin and throw that in there... RustoleumWhite 02-24-2002, 12:08 PM grade-8 bolt with the head rounded (just take the points off) works just find as a substatute. I always up-grade to 3/8" center pins anyway. You need to drill the springs sometimes, a SHARP 3/8 bit and a little cutting oil and its a piece of cake. I've never been able to "save" a stock center pin anyway, not worth it.
