Hi land cruisers.

I'm looking into a parking brake for my Scout II, please be nice. I was told some land cruisers had a drive-line brake? If so are these parts available/affordable or sacred? I'd like to see a picture if ones available for ideas.

I dont think they are too scarce or anything. 3 and 4 speed LC cases. 3 and 4 speed refers to the tranny they were mated to, with 3 speed being 1960's - 74 or so. I don't think they were available on split case transfercases since the emergency breaks were in the rear drum breaks.

You can also search this forum to find some more tech on it, and get some pics. Some people machine the drum into a disk and use different calipers with a custom mount- I have seen a neat set up with an ATV disk break used. Some companies sell this set up if youre looking for ideas, such as JTO, Downey Offroad, Man-A-Fre, and I others.
