I was doing the distributor advancer inspection as per pages 8-9 of the 88 FSM. It says after removing the dist cap, turn the rotor clockwise by finger and release it. Check that rotor returns smoothly counter clockwise by spring force. OK I did that and it returned, but I noticed that if I turned it counterclockwise, I could make it return farther. Is this normal? Or should it return to a point where it can not go anyfarther counterclockwise?
