3linkxj 02-24-2002, 09:35 AM hey-- i got off the trail last night with my 91 xj with the 4.0 HO and it started to stumble every once and a while. it would usially happen on light acceleration in any gear from idle to ~2000rpm. could this be the CPS of TPS??? anyone have this problem?? thanks, owen Home Built 02-24-2002, 02:09 PM Find out what the Voltage is supposed to be on the TPS and check it with a volt meter on your truck.. A buddy had a similar problem and that turned out to be the trouble.. the TPS had a bit of a dead spot in it and the computer did not know what to do with it. If he put his foot into it it seemed to work ok but could not do a light take off like you are experiancing.. Hope this helps.. | |
