The pitman arm that I got from Downey when I did the saginaw power steering conversion 3 years ago is starting to take the shape of a rainbow. Does anyone sell a beefier version?

Try a Scout arm..
I use the Jeep J-10 or chero arm with my Scout conv. and...
The Scout arm works great for my buddies Sag:)

You can get super heavy duty ones from Wagoneer Machine, Acme Offroad, or a Dodge 1 ton truck, it all depends on what you really want. I got mine made from 3/4 flat stock and its impressive from Acme Offroad(ask for Jimmy)

Get a hold of Gary Kardum, aka Mudrak. He has droped pitman arms that work great.

The "strongest" pitman arm I have seen is Danny Warden's. I have one on my truck - looks like a BIG oval plate. VERY stout - same comment I hear from everyone that sees it.

Warden's arm is the strongest I've seen,
Check with your local Motor Vehicle department or testing facilities because that arm will get you towed and ticketed up here.
