These auto store brand clamps suck, i get one or two uses out of them then they strip or the screw housing uncrimps and it twists off.

Who makes some heavy duty ones or something thats not flimsy crap.

Look for EFI hose clamps, they're a little different and work much better.
I use ones that were made in Sweden, can't remember the name.
I'll look tonight.

Don't know what you are using them for, but if you cant make a hose clamp work, try using exhaust clamps.

for low pressure the spring type that come with a Fram fuel filter seem to work far better then the hose cutting tridon stainless worm drives

try your local bobcat dealer :D seriously i am a mechanic and alot of the new machines dont use worm clamp style. they use the ones you need a pair of pliers to pinch the ears to open. give me a day or so and i'll post up bobcats part number and hose size it fits

Hose clamp test information at Gates:

They tested clamps on cooling hoses (which experience changing temperatures).

NAPA lined clamps part # 705-1211 through 705-1218 and 705-1050 through 705-1054 are nice.

NAPA also has CORBIN clamps available 705-1301 for 3/8”, 705-1302 for 1/2”, 705-1303 for 5/8”, and 705-1304 fits 9/16” (the O.E. type spring clamps for fuel lines).

For larger stuff (2 ¼ to 8 ¾ inch) the T-bolt clamps # 705-1531 through 705-1549 are good.

Also 705-1521 and 705-1522 Hi Torque are your universal radiator hose clamp friends. These should be in every ones glove box for emergencys. You can tighten them four times tighter than a regular hose clamp and these two #s will cover 1 ¼” to 4 1/8”

All should be available same or next day.

heres some that i was able to get measurement off of. bobcat has a ton of differnt part numbers but these i thought where the most useful sizes.

1/4" 5hm00013b
5/16" 5hm00014b
5/8" 5hm00024b
1 1/2" 5hm00042b

these are the spring assisted kind like on the right. figure if i can survive in a earth machine a 4x4 should do equally well

Go to your local hydraulic shop, they will have high-torque hose clamps that are more $ but more better.
