: Rear Discs: What rotor/caliper combo do you run?

Ive been researching doing rear discs on the scout 44 I have under my rig. What seems to be the best combination of parts (i have seen so many variations on 44 discs...)? Here is my concern.. I dont want to use calipers that will use a ton of fluid (read: I dont want to change my master cylinder.)

I have access to Ford 8.8 rotors and discs for fairly cheap or free (that reminds me... he owes me for helping him springover his heep) :p The only problem being in turning down the axle flange to 6 5/8 and redrilling the ford rotor for 5 on 5.5.

So far, I have come up with a few combinations that I may try... what do you guys think?
79 F-150 Rotors / Small GM calipers (metric) (will this work?)
CJ rotors / Dana 30 calipers?
F8.8 Rotors / Calipers (will work, but machining of axle flange and redrilling of rotors required)

Also.. I am a poor-ass college student... so obviously the cheapest route is good too :)

Thanks for any input!:D :nuke: :smokin:

Seems there are quite a few people who have problems with the GM metric calipers with internal e-brake. IF you dont want a E-brake, then Id say use S10 calipers, with aftermarket weld-on brakets...cheap and easy. I use F150 rotors with mine, but they are a bit too thick
