Anyone tried the hydraulic tubing bender from Speedway motors? It is 439.95 and comes with one die..It appears that a limitation is that you can't go above 1 3/4 with it;but, you can bend upto .134 wall tube...However, it certainly is reasonably priced(could be a reason for that).Anyone have any input?Everything I have ever purchased from them turned out to be a good quality product, but, I am skeptical on this tubing bender considering what the going price for one seems to be;not to mention a hydro one.. To look at one go to www.speedwaymotors.com and in the lower left corner where the parts search window pops up type in 910-84100..TIA for input:D

It is similar to the William's Low Buck Bender (http://www.lowbucktools.com/hydbender.html). From what I've heard, other than limited die availability, it also has the limitation that it can't bend more than 90 degrees. The configuration also seems more limiting (or at least more difficult) in the types of bends that can be combined on the same piece of tube.

Brian, do you have access to someone who can do plasma or laser cutting? Just come borrow my JD2 (I haven't put it together yet), make a copy, and bring it back :p

Just consider it a favor you can repay some day ;)

ASI and Hossfeld benders are interchangeable. My buddy has a bender from Williams which is also interchangle. He bends 2" .195 walled stuff like peanuts. If your going to spend the money get somethin' that can do all you want and then some. the 3 above mentioned benders are great:p
