I'm trying to find replacement *bushings* for my grinder.. the things that let you use disks with different sized holes. I lost mine in my garage somewhere, and evidentally I'm the first person in Milwaukee to have done so.. Can't find replacements anywhere. Any help???

What kind of grinder is it? That information might be of use :flipoff2:
Anyway I"m interested to know if there are other bushings and stuff to use. I mean, is a 5/8" arbor THAT unusual, I can't find disks in my size?

Now that you brought it up, I'm going to to the hardware store with my grinder to see if I can find a bronze bushing I could modify.
I bought a 4 inch air grinder from HF, and our shop only has the 4.5 inch disks. Now the hole is too big for the arbor, so I use parts from my air sander to center the disk.

Cheap makitas and others use a M10 spindle, they use discs with a 5/8 hole
The more common and standard is a 5/8 spindle, they use discs with a 7/8 hole
I have seen adapters to allow use of the larger hole discs, wheels, etc on the M10 spindle at Home Depot, and lots of hardware stores.
Grainger and McMasterCarr both have all the parts you need to do anything you want with these tools, you can order form both online with a C.C.

You can also go to dewalts website, become a member (free), and then search for the parts you need. I found a ring and pinion gear there for a dewalt grinder for $24.

How much was it? If it's $20 or more I'm thinking I'll get another grinder to put a wheel on and leave the wire brush on my little one.

you mean to tell me that milwalkee couldnt point you in the right direction?
When I broke the circuit breaker on my makita grinder, they gave me the 4 repair shops in the state. I called up (I think tools r us) and they had one in stock.
$5 later my grinder was working agian.

Canadian Tire has em. Also, worst comes to worst buy a new tool of the same, rob the arbor and then return it :smokin:

It was like $2.50.
I never contacted Milwaukee tools, i have a B&D grinder.. Don't tend to call companies I don't own the tools of.
