: Well... I committed to narrowing my front clip...
Pdaddy 04-28-2005, 07:17 AM I cut the radiator core support down last night and fiddled with the headlights abit. I want the truck to still look "clean" up front and that is
I think the hardest part. I dont want it to look like a chopped up cab truck , no offense to the guess setup like that its just not what I want appearance wise. It looks like Im going to gain 10 inches on each side right now though. The grill and tube work I intend is going to be the PITA part. Heres a before pic... and tape basically were I am going to narrow it too. Ill try to catch some during pics tonight.

HickTrucksRus 04-28-2005, 07:41 PM thats going to be awesome... how much tube work are you going to run? are you going to cut and bend the fenders in front of the wipers or just unbolt them and weld them to the tub or what? keep us posted im lookingto do something like this soon.
reddman 04-28-2005, 10:12 PM pics yet? i wanna see!!!
BigWoodyWag 04-28-2005, 11:25 PM So you're going to finally make the frontside match the backside? My favorite taper job, has to be SandmanII's Blue and White blazer. If you can pull off somthing along those line.....badass!
Pdaddy 04-29-2005, 06:10 AM I messed around alittle bit last night with it but really didnt accomplish anything. Ill get pics this weeekend for sure. I started to bend a little tube and such but nothing is mounted just yet. Im still tryin to decide on fenders and how they will be attached. And exactly how I want the tube from the firewall to the front to be lined out. I need to take the front fenders off and just gut them so its a skin without all that BS on the back sides of them. Probably do that tonight and then finish it after my daughters Bday party Saturday.
Wyatt... the front will be a little wider still then the back :flipoff2:
blacksheep10 04-29-2005, 06:36 PM I definitely recommend the tube with skin on it method. the only prob is you wheel around some mud so inners might be a big deal to keep the fronts from slinging shit all over the engine.
keep the core support and make the grille fit.
Focker.. Out
reddman 04-30-2005, 10:14 PM cmon pdaddy, get off the couch and start cuttin and takin pics. lazy bastard. :flipoff2: :D

blacksheep10 05-01-2005, 02:40 PM Yeah, Paul as well as many of us others have drooled over Jason's truck many times. I think that Paul wants to keep his headlights, though.
I am pretty sure he wants his set up like Sandman's. looks factory with a really narrow grille. Very clean, no chopped look. Hope he got something done last night besides drinking. That would be a rarity.
"Yeah, pot, come in pot, this is kettle, you are an alchoholic." :flipoff2:
blacksheep10 05-03-2005, 07:09 AM WTF, you get fawked up at a NASCAR race on the infield last weekend and suddenly you can't work on your junk and post pics
:flipoff2:
cough em up you dirty bastard
Pdaddy 05-03-2005, 07:19 AM Fawkers Ill try to get some pics tonight. I havent touched my junk since Friday. Had my daughters Bday party Saturday and then Sunday well...... it got blurry around 9:30am.... Million dollar RV's, Flat Screens, Coors light chicks and free food and drink will do that to a man. Gutting the insides of the stock fenders is a PITA... theres alot of damn skin inside there  The core support is still there just shortened at the ends. I think mine will be kinda inbetween the side tubes will be covered by fender skin... but the come all the way forward and tie into the little bumper/rad guard Im bending... Its really not going to look stock and narrow so much from the front but from the sides it should. I want to hang some sort of inner fender in there too.. I dont want electrical issues from water, mud whatever.
Kettle chhh this is pot chhhh roger that over..... chhhh :flipoff2:
blacksheep10 05-03-2005, 02:33 PM Kettle chhh this is pot chhhh roger that over..... chhhh :flipoff2:

Fawk you on Talladega, I wouldn't give a cup of piss to be at a race Jeff Gordon won! Shot yourself now! :flipoff2: You better not have been too drunk to see the big one on LAP 132. Yes, I hate you. That is all.

I saw it dammit... it was blurry... coulda been the tire smoke, coulda been the FREE beer, we may never know for sure!! :flipoff2:
I didnt get a fawkin thing done last night... Jason was at my shop all day and used up every fawkin 4.5 cutting disc I had... that pretty much fawked me so I took the fenders and everything off and now it looks like its getting all tubed in and skinned.... Will probably look more like a fawkin tube rig in front than a truck i think. Im gutting the fenders completely and the hood skin is getting peeled off and cut up as well. Im going to try to drop the hood down a few inches as well if possible. Im off Friday so this week WILL net results. I should get some good work done if I stay away from the 4 runner and work on my own shit :flipoff2: :flipoff2: impatient bastards.
Pdaddy 05-05-2005, 05:17 AM Maybe if we werent messing with this so much I could get something done on my truck....

BigWoodyWag 05-05-2005, 04:25 PM 1.^^^^^^That is funnnayyyyy!^^^^^^
2. Paul that cell, and rear cage hoop/shock mount is badass. I see you've got a line on a plasma/laser/water table. Awesome execution.
3. Today is Thursday, so that, means tomorrow is friday, and you being off all day we are expecting some progress pics. Just a little peer pressure. :flipoff2:
Pdaddy 05-09-2005, 05:49 AM I made this....
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v621/Pdaddy/fronttube.jpg
I made my grill smaller, cut down the factory headlight mount into a single headlight mount then put the ends of the grill back on...
The tube work is removable 5 bolts on each side. I even cut down and am going to reuse the stock inner fenders as well (whats left of them) to help keep shit outta the engine compartment. I still need to cut down the hood and skin the passenger fender and hang what is left of them...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v621/Pdaddy/turdclipped.jpg
blacksheep10 05-09-2005, 06:24 AM how many inches did you gain?
Pdaddy 05-09-2005, 07:12 AM overall it will be around 10-12 up front at the top of the hood. I got ALOT down low on the sides and more clearance in the back of the fenderwell for tire as well.
I went very subtle on the narrow, I just didnt want it to look really narrow. basically I tried to match the lines of the back. Having the tube up high will allow me to rub trees and what not without worry too, something Ive enjoyed about the rear of my truck :flipoff2: I may add a lower tube up front and have even thought about a removable cross bar across the engine. Just have to see if I feel like going that far or not with it. Ive basically been tryin to use what ever left over scrap tube I can find
MudzerK5 05-09-2005, 09:52 AM I like the Faux headlights. Is that tube transparent?
Just kidding man! Looks good.
blacksheep10 05-09-2005, 11:57 AM I like the Faux headlights. Is that tube transparent?

maybe he will get a triple chrome roll bar and some kc daylighters for night wheelin :flipoff2:
MudzerK5 05-09-2005, 12:39 PM I'll post up pics of my Junk real soon so you can return the favor!
I do have new-found respect for you guys bending tube. I wasted a stick before I finally got my main hoop right. Oh, well Experience...
All I have done to my cage after Saturday's 8 hours is Main Hoop and Halo - plus plates welded into the floor. Now it should go fast - just not fast enough! That is just plain slow working in my book - not up to my usual "ahh, looks good enough" , eyeball everything par.
Still trying to have mine done by end of May for a local "Shakedown" run over Memorial Weekend.
blacksheep10 05-09-2005, 01:57 PM where is this "shakedown" over memorial? I might be headed that way if there is an invite open.
Sorry about the hijack paul. Wait no I'm not, fuck off :flipoff2:
mindenoffroad 05-09-2005, 06:24 PM Pdaddy you just need to add some mirrors to see around the pipes  :flipoff2:
