Im going to a spoa on my zuki. I just wanted to know if it is worth getting the part in a kit or should i piece it together myself? And which company would you go to?

If you can make it. Make it. It is easy and cheap. Then you can save the lift money for tool or additional offroad goodies.

im not going yj im just putting some rears up front and doing a spoa.
The trail tough perches dont look like they tie into the lower stock perches anyone have problems with them ripping the axle housing open. the sky perches tie in so they look stonger and they self center on the axles housing, same with the rocky road perches.

Whatever you do, DO NOT, DO NOT, go bolton. I wish I could start all over, and not use it. Oh and go over-the-top steering. If found that when I got my 5" and wanted to go with taller shackles, when flexed one way the z-link would hit the springs. So I am forced, for now, to stick with just about stock length shackles.

Sky makes good stuff too .. trailtough or sky are both good choices

yep, I would stick to sky, trailtough or petroworks. I have never heard of an instance of a weld on perch like trailtoughs ripping the housing open...Trail Toughs perches are definatly beefier than RRO, but you are correct that they dont self-align. If you are mechanically compentent enough to do a SPOA you shouldnt need the self-align feature. The trick to any of them is welding them proper. *IF* there has been an instance of a crushed housing or ripped open housing at the perch, it is due to faulty welding, not the perch type itself. That said, make sure you are compenent in welding or have a certified welder do it for you..they need to be welded on in multiple stages allowing the housing to cool inbetween. Whether you go YJ or not, they all use the same perches,so that shouldnt be a consideration in choosing your company. I will stay loyal to petroworks and trailtough because those company owners have literally stuck with me on the phone for hours walking me through things like installs or problems..they also stand by there products %110. I think you will find many people in the Trailtough, skye, petroworks corner, and a few in the calmini, rockyroad, corner(not beause their products are bad, but their customer suport normally sucks)

I recently installed Sky's "stage 2" kit with OTS. Went together real easy, only problem we encountered was a slightly bent lower perch. A little massaging with a hammer (original spua perch), and it fit. For the money its worth it IMO.
