I have a 99 CTD, and I want to liven up the motor a bit. I am getting the parts for the tranny pretty soon here, and I need to make some MO POWA!!!!

So my question is, what do you guys know abotu the hypertech chip and the superchip.. I know the superchip can read codes from the truck (which I need anyway). How about the Power Puck from Diablo?

I was also looking at the quadzilla and the Edge Comp or the Van Aaken box.

If you get the auto where it can take the power, get the most power you can buy. I had to settle for the power puck with my stock tranny and I found it on sale for $293 last year. JC

Man go Edge. Their boxs are the only one's that put out real numbers and want hurt the truck or motor. A shop down here in texas is like a test shop for them. On real Daily driven trucks. Hell he got a offer to build the tranny for their drag truck. P.S he build's one of the strongest trannys in the U.S. I think hes trannys come with a life time or 5 year warrinty. Edge is the one to go with. Real number.

I got the superchips for now (neede the code reader). I will stack that with an Edge when I throw a new tranny in there.

Ramrock,

are you talking about relentless diesel? he just built me a tranny. I second the Edge and would like to throw in a plug for VanAaken products too. They have one of the few boxes out there that does not throw codes. Their website is vanaaken.com.

I can hook you up on Edge and other stuff, let me know what you're wanting and I'll "earn" your biz:)

As soon as I figure out why my truck is broke down, I will give you a call and possibly order the box.

I just put an EZ on my 02 CTD, great power! Drive it like you never put it on and you will see an increase in MPG. I was getting 19 now with some romps and roll-ins against Hondas I see 20 mpg. Not bad for 15 minutes of work.
