Brand New 9,000# Ben Pearson Aysemetrical lift
Yipieeeeeeee
well i got the lift installed saturday but it was such a nice day Sunday (75 degrees) i decided to go out to the local wheelin spot (ride along with crazy Dave)...
after breaking a 260 U-joint, inner, outter shafts, upper ball joint, we were faced with a dilema... (wheel laying on ground next to Jeep) pulled the axleshaft, drove the upper ball joint out put a bolt in with a masterlink from a chain as a washer on the top....made it home (@ 30 MPH only 10 miles) i was actually quite impressed the whole fix only took 1 hour (the biggest amount of time was spent searching for a washer for the top)

Reread his post, it is a lift for his garage. As in it lifts his Jeep up and down off the ground.

That makes sence now. I was wondering who the hell was Ben Pearson, what was a Aysemetrical lift, why you would need a 9000lbs one.:D
Insayn 02-25-2002, 07:11 AM I think we should have used your lift to pull out my tranny. That SOB was a PITA! I bet being more mobile under there would have made things so much easier. Congrats on the lift and let me know when you put it to use on your jeep. I'll lend a helping hand.
Bah! A lift like that just give the tranny further to fall before it lands on your foot.

redruM 02-25-2002, 02:10 PM the subject was meant to get your attention...12' ... as it did everyone thought 12" lift on my Jeep
H8monday 02-25-2002, 03:31 PM I am so oriented to doing my fabrication and repairs, on my back in a parking lot or dirt field at work, that when I get to borrow some time on a lift, I feel lost. Its just to routine to have the parts I am currently using, lying on my chest, with the tools on my right, extra parts on my left, a trickle of water from a guy washing his car uphill running down the middle of my back, my bearrings in about a 1/2" mud from the water trickle, and a property manager screaming at me, that Im not allowed to be doing this kinda work here. I dont know if I could give all of that up, for the convenience of a lift,.......Yeah I think I could learn to live with that, I might just have to invent a magnetic chest bib so I could still put my parts on my chest, where I cant lose em.
I am enviouse :flipoff2:

Ummmm........... that trickle of water wasn't from a guy washing his car! :D :D :D Damn dogs!!
I'll have a lift in my shop one day. Just have other priorities first - upgrades for the jeep, bender, etc....
