If an RC30 is like an RC44 than no. If it were 2.73-3.92's in the CJ than yest it would work but since the CJ has a 4 sieries carrier 4.10-5.38 it won't work.

but the detroit is only made in 2 versions for the D30
one for 3.73 and up and another for 3.55 and lower...
so there are onlyt 2 diffrent carrier styles and 2 diffrent spline counts...

I think you have answered your own question. There are only two carriers for D30s regardless of whether they came from a CJ, TJ, or YJ. Gears on the other hand are different.

YJ D30's are the only RC D30's. TJ's and CJ's are standard. Doesn't matter though, same Detroit for RC and standard. Carrier break is 3.73 and down (lower gear) so a Detroit in a CJ with 4.56's will work with your TJ and 3.73's. The ring gear is interchangeable but the pinion shaft is not. The TJ pinion shaft is shorter.

Who gives a shit about the carrier break,

TJ's are reverse cut

CJ's are standard cut

The answer is no they will not interchange

ahhh, you might want to look again! :flipoff2: The TJ and CJ are standard cut and the YJ and XJ are reverse cut. And like Recurve said, the carrier's are the same for both applications (standard and reverse). 3.73s and up and 3.55s and down are the carrier breaks.
