I have a 98 GMC 3500. I was driving home sunday and right before i pulled in the parking lot realized that the 4x4 indicator light was on, I could even here that the front axle was engaged. This has never happened before and yes I'm sure it was in 2wd. I'm thinking it's the 4x4 switch and not the actuator up front. I just replaced the actuator a few weeks ago and haven't had problems since. I just want to know if anyone else has had this problem and also where that 4x4 switch is located.
