Well, I used to wheel a Mazda Navajo with a solid axle front end. After rolling it 4 times, crushing the top the last time, I decided to punt, buy a house, and go for something small, light, and cheaper!

Well, I got my house, I found a 1991 2wd EFI Sammie in good shape (sorry, no pics - yet) Got the transfercase from a gracious donor in San Ramon.

Now, I'm starting to think about the build up. I know what I want - the problem is getting it done, I don't have the welder/benders to do it.

I was in pic-n-pull over the weekend, and found a 78 wagoneer that still had all it's axles - and that is SO tempting.

However, I need a few other things done - anyone can help me fab up a roll cage, rock sliders, and bumpers? (and if I do the d44's, outboard the front springs?)

After that, comes a kluneV, beadlocks, OBA, powersteering, and other goodies.

I'll even tow the bugger to where ever I need to.

Ideas? Anyone?

Sweet glad you are getting something to wheel again. willing to go back to los coyates and go up tobagin hill again :D I dont have a bender or anything but I would be willing to come up and give you a hand for a weekend sometime as long as you provide me a couch to sleep on. I could bring my 110v welder grinder chopsaw etc and we could go from there. Let me know cause i will have to grab it from my parets house and i wont be back there till end of march so we couldnt do it till April sometime. Let me know though. Do you think you will have it ready intime to go to moab with everyone?
