Yeah, I performed a search and didn't get squat, aside from some long thread looking for pic's of a jeepchick and debating whether to tie in or not (somewhat amusing, but not too edifying). I am looking for ideas on how to tie in the rear two cage points (head hoop & angled bars on top of wheel tubs) into the frame on my cj7. I alread y h ave a hoop at the dash, tied into the frame with mounts welded to the frame. I see those kits in the catalogues and see $20.00 worth of steel and $100.00 worht of shipping costs to Canada. How about sharing some of your ideas. I am looking for a design for a sturdy mount I will weld to the frame. Pics would be even better.

You might try these rear tie ins from J&L offroad. Don't know if they work or fit worth a damn, but it's something to look into. Perhaps you can make your own.

This pic shows the new tub and cage tie in I made out of 3/16" steel. The second one is the front cage tie in. THe fourth one is middle cage and tub tie in combined. You can see it is wider. The thing that's nice is it also ties in the rocker panel. I welded heavy duty 1/2" nuts in the bottom of the cage and ran the bolts through the body pucks and into the cage.

This pic is of the rear tie in. I welded 2" DOM to the top of the frame and went up into the fender. I have a thick plate welded to the top of the "stilt" and the 1/2" bolt with body puck goes though the plate and into the rear part of the cage.

Thanks. The thing I'm really looking for is how to tie in the "head hoop" located just behind the front seats into the frame. That 90 degree bracket the stock cage bottom is attached to poses some challanges to bolt up to.
post pics when you finish, i just built my cage and i have a few idea on how i will tie into frame, but i would like to see how yours turns out.
