I know this is a newbie question, but a friend at work has a 2WD 2002 V6 F150 that looks like a stink bug driving down the freeway. (rear end way up in the air) and want's to level it out. i know most of you guys don't know or care about 2WD's, but maybe you could point me in the right direction...
Thanks

Crank up the torsion bars... That should give you an inch or two.

Start by removing the second to the main leaf from the pack. It should drop a bit but he'll just have to play with the spring pack a little.
Or- send him to one of those shops that specialize in lowering rigs. I wouldn't know where to start.
Good luck!

I dont think that it would be a good idea to make the back lower.
1st- That just takes away from the bed capacaty and he wont be able to carry as much with out it bottoming out.
2nd- If your here then you are into off roading and just lowering it to make it look like the front will suck off road.
I dont know to much about the new font ends but I think that they sell leveling kits for them? Are they still coil sprong up front? The newest one I have looked at up close was a 97 and I think it was coil sprong. If so might be able to put a little bigger coil and cahage the camber, but then again I dont know if it had coils or not.

yeah it's coils, I suggested taking a leaf out of the back, and he doesn't want to do that... Do you know where i can find more information on the leveling kits???

Except that the 2wd is coil-sprung in the front.

Then get the coil spring spacers they sell eveywhere, this will give you 1-2 inch lift
And lowering would not affect the off-roading of it, i mean its still going to be a 2wd

One word, Fabtech. You can find their ad in any four wheel drive magazine, and they got their start lifting 2wd trucks.

put lowering shackles in the rear, they will lower it about two inches and it will keep it's same load capacity
