I need 6 spindle studs....jeep/gm dealers didn't have them, and can't get them. Anyone have a source for them?
Also...I just got my Crane knuckle, high steer arm and studs. My question about the highsteer studs...they are threaded on two sides, one side has about 1" of thread, the other about 1 1/4" of thread. They are both 9/16-18 threads, BUT the short side, has a more square crest on the thread. I need to use the short side for the knuckle, but it doesn't screw in very easily. The long side threads in fine, but has about 1/4" of threads still above the knuckle surface when bottomed out. Is the squarish threads for a tighter fit? I just don't want to screw up the threads in the new crane knuckle....Do I just get the stud started, then crank down on it in the knuckle with the short side? I've done other highsteer set-ups...never had this issue. :confused:
