np-229?

I just bought two FSJ's one is lifted and has an NP-208 the other is stock and has a 229.

I have never seen nor herd of the 229 till I looked under it.

the deal is I cant get the 4wd to engage. there is a leaver on the flour that has H N L on it. so I thought it may be a full time but then I saw on the dash that there was a little flip lever one side says 2wd other 4wd but there is no vackume button like there was on most of the FSJ's. the handle that says H N L will not move at all it is stuck. I tried to look for some vacume leaks but I dont know how many or how the lines are run.

the lever will not let you shift into low range unless the t-case is in 4wd. You need to repair the vacuum lines to the t-case, and possibly the front axle disconnect as well.
