Put it in a box because it my be worth $$$ ?
This thing is heavy, 1/2" chuck, 475 rpm, 4 amp, last patent date on it says 1924. I saw a program on History Channel last night that showed one selling for near $1,500  ?
If it's not worth anything I'll just mount it to my notcher and save the lighter drill motors for other work.

I'd sure be searching the Internet to see if there are collectors for that sort of stuff... There seem to be collectors for almost everything these days... You might be sitting on a new milling machine... :)

As long as you might consider selling it as a collectible antique, absolutely under no circumstance clean it with anything! Collectors are really picky about that.

That drill is a wrist breaker. Way too much torque. It'll snap your wrist before you can let go of the trigger. Leave it in retirement.

There is no " letting go of the trigger" It's "ON" and "OFF"

I've got that same drill. I don't use it much. I like the Hitachi 18V cordless with NiMH batteries a lot better ;) Sometimes that old drill is nice though. If you ever have to run a 4.5" hole saw (for flush tail lights) through 1/4" thick body armor, you'll appreciate that thing.
FWIW, one of my Jeeping friends has a simliar Black and Decker drill, but with variable speed and reverse. It's really sweet. He uses it all the time.

Talk about a wrist breaker. Just make sure it doesnt catch on ya at the end.
I've got a miller falls drill similar to that. Yes it is a wrist breaker for sure. But on the same hand as said above it is a good piece also when it comes to heavy drilling. I have bored my tail lites and others with the 4.5 holesaw ad drill the taps in my well casing with it.
