I have friend that has a 2004 TJ and he's wanting to flush mount the tail lights but in his right/rear fenderwell there is the evap canister that is for the fuel system... the question is can that be moved and if so is there any length restrictions on those lines?

They moved something there on the rubicons. Offroad only sells flush mount lights that will fit there without moving the cannister.

you can probably move the canister as long as it is oriented the same way (vertically, sideways, whatever) so the internal valves are in the same direction
the vacuum lines can be replaced with longer ones but dont buy cheap shit because an evap system can detect leaks that are smaller than the head of a needle.
i would avoid stretching any special looking fuel hoses (large diameter corrugated? tubing) with special connectors on the end because they seal using orings

ive just moved the canister and all the evap items to under the body where the tank used to be.. has a fuel cell inside now. i separated the canister and pump and check valve so it was cleaner looking. ran jeep for several weeks now no check engine light.

He's from CA, so unless he wants to green sticker it, he needs one.
