hey there, well my girlfriend got a jeep today and it was running rough but we went to try to get emmisions anyways. well it failed and the computer said it was the TPS and the idle control module. the check engine light is not on, so i am assuming the sweet car dealer disconnected it. anyways, i was wondering if there was a how to on how to replace or to fix the tps and i also need any info on this idle control deal. any help in these areas would be greatly appreciated so i can get it running right for my girl. thanks.

THe idle control is simple. Unplug it, theres two little torx heads that hold it on the back of the throttle body, take it off, clean up the plunger and the seat it goes in. If you pick up a cheapie shop manual they will go over a breif check on the IAC. Same goes for hte TPS. There isn't really much you can do with the TPS other than the check in the shop manual.... and if its TU get another one....
