Hi all, I have an opportunity to get a 1990 dodge D350, 360 gas engine, auto, 2 wheel drive, srw, standard cab, long bed, for cheap. If I do buy this truck, I'd like to do a auto to manual trans swap as well as convert it from a SRW to a dually rear end. But first I'd like to know how feasible these swaps are. I know the axle change is fairly simple and just involves the actual swap of the axles. Then, either cutting and adding the ext. fenders or just replacing the current bed with a factory dually bed. As for the auto to manual swap, what parts would this involve? Steering column, transmission, clutch. What else? I know it would be 100 percent easier to have a donor truck to do this but they are very scarce around here. Has anyone else done any of these swaps to a 1-ton before and mabey could give me a step by step on how the swap is done and what parts are involved? Oh, one more thing, is there such a thing as a light duty 1 ton dodge?
Thanks all
Lou
