How are you measuring track width? center line to center line? or outside of tire to outside of tire?

dana 60's front and rear with a 231?

little too much axle for that mini t-case... IMO

good job!

thats awesome!

just so we get them out of the way...

I like the dually front axle ~ it looks narry and wide at the same time. The dually wheel spacer really protects the selectable hub; I doubt you'll be worrying about rock damage. Ahm also curious as to how the increased - or percieved increased - moment arm length (center of mass/load of wheel to ball joints) will effect performance or breakage issues.

I like the new and different thing a bunch - good job!

97:1 isn't a lot of gear reduction in the rocks on 39.5's...though not sure that you care about the rocks...

I am measuring track width out side to out side of tire.
Yes I think that the 231 is weak but I do not have the money right now to replace it, and I have a spare if that one takes a dump.. I will hope to put an atlas in next year...
I live in the North West so not alot of rocks.....97:1 will work fine for my weeling.
I think the dually hub should hold up, I will let you know at the end of the summer...

What is the width of the axle without the dually hubs? Is it a full width? Seems a bit narrow? Nice Idea on protecting the hubs though.

Nice work

http://img109.echo.cx/img109/9199/shackleonframe3ai.th.jpg (http://img109.echo.cx/my.php?image=shackleonframe3ai.jpg) Wms to wms is 67" with the dually hubs.
The F150 springs are long I had to cut off the front body mounts to fit them in the center pin is with in an inch of the factory wrangler springs.

I got about 7" of lift out of the F150 springs

That's what I was thinking (the narrow thing). I've got a Chev dually front, H1 wheels and 38" SX. I'm 83" from outside of sidewall to outside of sidewall. (75" on the rear 14 bolt)

I live in washington and alot of the trails were built by willys jeeps in the trees so anything over 80" wide has a real hard time getting through the trees..
