ok.....ordering parts to build steering arms
planned to do a left and right hand thread on each end of the drag link and tie rod....for adjustment.
so....does it matter which end gets the left on the drag link....pitman or knucke????
and on the tie rod.....drivers knuckle or pass???
see....kinda dumb, but got me confused :D
thank in advance

Little confused on your ???, But if your doing a crossover steering setup only the pass side knuckle needs to be drilled in two spots one for the tie rod and one for the draglink, the driver side knuckle needs to be drilled for the tie rod only.. Are you using heims or Tie Rod Ends..

ok sorry...let me try to clarify.
tie rod: 1 1/4 " DOM w/ 3/4" xm Heims ................... i wnat to use a left hand thread on one end and a right hand thread Heim on the other so that i can easily adjust the toe.
i am asking does it matter which end gets which thread.......
example, should the left hand thread go at the driver's knuckle or the Passenger knuckle......or does it Matter?
now, question 2:
drag link: 1 1/4" dom 3/4" xm heim on the knuckle end, and a 5/8" xm heim on the pitman arm end (because of the taper in my pitman arm)
so here, again i want to use a left hand at one end and a right hand at the other........so should the pitman arm end be left or rigth hand thread or does it matter?
hope that's a little clearer.

It shouldnt matter. The only difference it will make is which way the drag link or tie rod is turned to adjust length. Oh yeah, where do you wheel near NYC? I live just over the Hudson, and I'm looking for spots a little closer than Paragon or South Jersey

hey matt,
it shouldn't matter, like he said just turns the tie rod or drag link the opposite way.
Also i know i asked you this before, but what was that Ford TRE that fits our pitman arms? and what was the thread pitch size and direction? Also do you know off hand the thread of the stock waggy Drag link TRE? the short one, not the 3' long one. I know we talked about this before but its slipped my mind. thanks.

don't know if its a ford application, but the moog# es150L and R have the 3/4 fine same as the heims, and should be close to the right taper, if not get a reamer and open it up some.
