: Newbie list
bulldozer 02-26-2002, 08:16 AM In an effort to lessen the amount of time wasted on this forum, we (speaking for all newbies everywhere) need a list of all topics that have been exhaustively covered here before. We need to make this sticky so that all newbies will see this list BEFORE posting any stupid questions that just get flamed. That way, all of us newbies will know what to do a search for and what to post on the forum. Or, post a smart ass response to this and get on with your lives.

And just why should the "veterans" go through the trouble of creating a list such as that when it's easier and more fun at times to just embarass the snot out of yay-hoo?
Oh, BTW ...

RockyXJ 02-26-2002, 12:43 PM Seems a little excessive in my opinion. The mission statement seems to cover that, since this is a more extreme 4x4 site, you think newbies would have the common sense not to post stupid topics. Plus ya, its hilarious to read the threads of veterans ripping on the newbies.

bulldozer 02-27-2002, 07:44 AM The mission statement was helpful and amusing. I suppose I'll just have to make all the newbie mistakes and flame once in a while.

do yourself a favor. Don't post for 14 days. Just read and look at the pictures. You'll learn a shiznit load.
Read everything. Look at all the pics. Don't post.
Ask your questions in 2 weeks. Honest. This will save everyone a huge amount of grief.

Desert CJ7 02-27-2002, 12:24 PM What wax is best for my axle tubes?:rasta:
HAHAHAHAHAHA....i cant wait that long!!! ahhhhhhhhhh
LOL
Dan-H 02-28-2002, 01:53 AM bulldozer, you've got the talking part done, now get on it.
The thing is, I'll bet one ice cold sierra nevada pale ale ( bet to be settled up at Carnage on the Con 2 ) that whatever newbie topic you come up with that needs an answer, is already answered either here, or that other BB (see the mission statement) or documented in a web page.
SO DO A FAWKING SEARCH AND THAT DOES NOT MEAN JUST A PBB SEARCH, USE GOOGLE.COM AND TRY DIFFERENT SEARCH KEYWORDS AND YOU WILL BE AMAZED AT WHAT YOU CAN LEARN
and yes, I did mean to shout ;)
bulldozer 02-28-2002, 07:00 AM I'll bet one ice cold New Belgium Fat Tire Ale that I already knew all of that. Every reason for starting this post was selfish. I was trying to save time (mine) and embarassment (mine) in hopes that it might help other newbies in the future. Think of it as taking the mission statement one step further.
My job is the internet. I've already been to most Jeep sites out there. I use Google several times a day (too much time on my hands) I just underestimated everyone's willingness to waste their time. I didn't take long for me to realize that all of the "veterans" get off on flaming newbies. So be it, I say. Game on!!!
