View Full Version : Durango mirror options?

I picked up a 99 Durango for the wife and she asked if they made different side mirrors for it. They are rather large ( good thing IMO) but they do block vision. she's a little shorter and has a bigger issue with them than I do.
Are there any aftermarket mirrors which would turn down instead of up and fit the Durango? Are Dakota mirrors the same?

hey, you got the Big dumbo mirrors right ? i know a buddy who has the smaller side mirrors and who wants the big dumbo mirrors. Possible trade?

Dak and D are the same mirrors, yeah. The doors look the same to me, too, but I've heard they're different lengths, and have never checked myself (just in case you care...).

I've got the Dumbo 6x9s on my Dak and the blind spot behind them annoys me too, but not enough to give up the rearward visibility. I think gen IV Rams (94-0?) use the same mirrors as well, and I think some of the 3500s came from the factory with "west coast" mirrors which should mean that plugs for those holes exist if you wanted to run something very different.

I personally dream of running modified SuperDuty towing mirrors on my truck but the only reasonably priced sets I run across dissapear very quickly.

If BlackDak's lead doesn't pan out, PM me and I'll check on the Dakota Mailing List for you. There are usually a couple interested in swapping things around it's just a matter of matching power options and harness plug years.

thx guys. I'll look around and see what I can find local. Mine have the defroster etc etc and I'd like to know if the smaller ones include that option as well.
Sure wished these things had metal bumpers.. wife's already backed into our flower bed retainer wall..grrrr.
