: 60 housing ready for a cut n turn
Jason M 05-12-2005, 06:53 PM Anyone interested in trading a stock 60 housing for one that is cut and turned??
Actually, I will cut and turn it to your specs and you send me your old housing and steering linkage (you will need hysteer anyway with a SO ;) )
Advent Horizon 05-12-2005, 07:17 PM Darn it, shipping would be prohibitive.
cruiserbrett 05-12-2005, 08:56 PM are you talking FJ60? and are you in need of a stock FJ60 housing?

I have one Jason. Just hold your horses, it is out at Sunray getting the knuckles swapped into an FJ40 and when I get the housing back it is yours.
65SWB45 05-13-2005, 06:56 AM Got one here too Jason.
Jason M 05-13-2005, 09:20 AM Right on.
65SWB45 05-18-2005, 06:38 AM Sooooo, what's the plan Stan?
Jason M 05-18-2005, 02:55 PM Been in Colorado for the last week.
I am going to Wisconsin in late july to see EAA and pick up a 86 FJ60 that has been bobbed. I finally get to start my own family hauler buildup.
I have a rear axle and a front FJ60 housing/shafts that is cut but not turned yet. The 60 that I am getting has been trimmed for at least 33's with the stock suspension. And has waggoneer springs in the rear set up for a SO. So.. Starting in August I am going to start the thread on my family hauler.
:D
Orrr, were you wondering if I wanted you housing Mark??? lol
:D
sixty 05-18-2005, 03:14 PM You back already?
I cleaned out my shed & have a bunch of parts for your hauler build & other cruiser stuff :D
Let me know when & I can drop them off after work.
how was Denver?

Yup. Got one spare housing sitting out front. Stripped but straight and stock. Needs a home, and I thought I'd take yours in case I decided to do a SOA on my 60 in a year or two from now. Not saying that I would, but I also left a 40 housing with Simon a few months ago for a cut and turn as well, just in case I run out of projects to do. :shaking:
I like having options. :D

Reminds me of a quote from Schopenhauer that we buy books with the mistaken idea that we are also buying the time to read them!

65SWB45 05-21-2005, 10:32 AM Jason, you should save your time and money and buy this shell for your family hauler. Rust free! No powertrain or lower gate, and Im keeping the axles and springs. $1200 for the complete body, negotiable. :)
Jason M 05-21-2005, 03:01 PM Already getting the replacement Mark. And I can't beat the price...
There is a bit of work to still do but it won't take much to be a runner...
I dub thee Stubby
