727 to Dana 300?

Does anyone have any info on adapting a 727 that came w/ an 203 t-case to a dana 300?

From what I had read in the past it should bolt up w/ an adapter ring, like I am using now to mate my 300 to my ax-15, but the t-case adapter on the 727 looks kinda funky and I don't want to discover that it won't mate up after I take the d300 out.

The bolt pattern is different. Input count is the same. You can swap in a output shaft and adapter from a AMC 727. Its shorter and will bolt right up.

How hard of a job is the output shaft swap?

You have to take the whole tranny apart.If you cant do that any tranny shop should be able to for not to much money.Good luck.
