8 lug to 6 lug

what does it take to change an 82 d44 8 lug to a 6 lug chevy pattern? and what do you guys think about these axles on a small truck?

It can be done, I assume it's the reverse of putting 8 lug hubs on a 6 lug axle. My only question is why would you want to give up 8 lug for the crappy bowtie/jeep/toyota 6 lug pattern?

long story but a buddy has a k5 he is upgrading for the 8 lug and he was going to give me the old stuff but doesnt want to mess with the 44 because of the perches and i am already set for the 6 lug for everything else. would the nuckles from the 44 interchange with the knuckles from the 10 bolt?

Yes, The D-44 and 10 bolt knuckles will interchange.
