The plan right now is to remove everything, from the rear of the door sill back.
I plan on replacing the rockers, and front floorpans.
I think I will be able to make square tube rockers, higher up than stock, and cut 4 or 5 inches off of the bottom of the doors.
I want to keep the doors, in order to keep it streetable.
The floor/rocker will end up kinda like a jeep tub. ;)

SOA, welded Front and rear diffs sawzall the front wheel wells, repair the w/s frame, put in the windsheild, a few things like lights and such and it'll be a trail pig!!
Plan is for it to look sorta like this. :rasta:

Yup, all that rot looks farmilar, but actually it looks better than my 73 looked when I got it. Good idea on the flat body, save a shitload of time, and get bigger rear wheelwells too!! (reminds me I gotta tub my 75 for bigger rubber soon!!!
Good luck finishin the work started by nature's sawzall (aka the tin worm)!!!!!

My scout is about the same as far as the Eye appeal, i took out two years worth of Christmas paper and numerous beer cans, cigarette butts and pizza boxes. I found a couple of the pizza crusts floating in the water filled gas tank obviously not too old. I think it was a trash can for the numerous parties this guy had. But I did get it for free. I like the idea pic, I was looking into the same type since the rear floor board is basically missing with all the rust damage. \
