Go here:

Irfanview Freeware Image Manipulation Software (http://www.irfanview.com)

Download the program and plugins. It's really a pretty slick peice of software for the price and will probably do most of what you want to do with your images. It's small too - under a 1Mb probably two will all the plugins installed. The best part is there is no payware software license to violate. :)

HTH

edit: Hmm, the site looks to be bandwidth saturated at the moment. Go to http://www.tucows.com or a similar site and do a search for "irfanview" and you will find it

Run that program... Open your picture.
From "Image" Choose "Resize..."
Under "units" choose "pixels"
Reduce the field labeled "100%" until the image is no larger than 640x480. I usually like to post pics in 480x360.
Save it AS A JPEG (.jpg file) - if it's a .BMP file, it will be about a dozen times larger than a JPEG image.

Now start a post, click the "browse..." button at the bottom, and find your file. It will be uploaded when you post.

That looks good. Pretty much the same as my truck. I'm running dana 44's with rear coils, and I'm gonna be running 37" boggers. What kind of coils are you runnin'? I'm afraid my tires are gonna rub even if I cut the fenders like you, which sucks, so I'm thinking about lifting mine some more. Anyways, looks killer.

What coils did you use? What was the pound/inch ratings on them?

nuttzack
02-27-2002, 08:15 PM
I got the coils from summit racing, 35$ each. They are QA1 coils and the spring rate for the rear is 130lbs and the fronts are 150lbs.

Called JD2 today and they said tube bender should be here some time next week, so I am facing the big decision of either tubing out the rear or just filling in the fender wells with some sheetmetal. I am leaning more towards sheetmetal so that I can keep all the damm mud around hear off of me and also so I can run the top when it gets wet, but a tubed out rear would be bad ass. Wish I lived in California or Arizona! Disc brakes, tubing, brake lines, more rod ends, wheels, and bender will be here next week. I will get the IFS steering tommarow and drivelines in about 3 or 4 weeks. In the mean time I hope to get the front suspension mounted, power steering mounted, caged, and fenderwells for the rear mounted. I am hoping to hit the trails in about a month!:smokin: I would like to thank everyone on this board because without all the great info on this board to learn from I could have never created this rig. Thanks guys!

looks like you are gonna have a sweet ride!!! i can tell you that you will probably want a set of sumo's in your x-case with those 37's. the two guys i know running 36 sx's, d44's with 5.38's, and grs1's are not happy with thier crawl ratio. they need more gear in the rocks. don't get me wrong they wheel the piss out of them as they are but in times where crawl is needed they just can't use much finesse. it might work for the areas you wheel so keep us posted on how you like it with the grs2. also keep the pic's coming as you progress. like i said SWEET rig!:smokin:

Thanks man:rolleyes: I really wish I coulda baught the sumo's! I was fucking pissed when they came out two days after I received my GRSII's. They would help alot like you said, eventhough there arent many rocks around hear they would still come handy. If I had my choice though I would do Scawfish''s set up in a heart beat!!!! I probably would have gone that route, but didn't come out till after I had alread spent the $$$$ Sure gets me wishing though:)

Nice work. I agree on the gearing, you'll want to be lower. With all these people starting massive Zuk build ups I am surprised very few just stick a Klune in there right off the bat. Doing the math I got R&P install kits $250 + R&P's $300 + 6.1 @ $900 = 1450, not including any setup labor. To me your almost there, just go the rest of the way and have the ultimate. IMO with D44's and big tires, gearing is the ONLY Thing that will keep you from running certain lines easily.

nuttzack
02-28-2002, 08:17 PM
Sorry to hear about the damage wes. I would love to have the Klune-V, but the problem is for me, a 20 year old kid, it's hard to save my $, so little by little I piece together my project. A 2500$ Klune-v would be way too much for me! I was thinking dual toy cases down the road though:smokin:

here is a pic of the toy ifs box about to go on. I am worried about some steering binding issues, so I might just wait to mount it until I get the front axle and suspension done.

Is anyone running a warn HS9500i on their sammi? They are only 10 pound more than the m8000i! They are rated at like 62 ft/min no load. That would be kick ass! Are there any downsides to using this winch versus the 8000i?

High5
03-05-2002, 12:01 AM
i've sen m8274's on zuks so i doubt the 9500 would be a problem. go for it.:D

nuttzack
03-05-2002, 01:08 AM
THe 8274 would be cool too, I got the room for it, but it weighs like 130lbs. I really gotta watch how much weight I put on the front or I will have to get stiffer coils.

weezman1
03-06-2002, 09:48 PM
What's the part number on those coils??? Front and rear... What wheelbase will you have now? I noticed the fuel cell in the rear... what capacity is it and where did you get it from?

nuttzack
03-07-2002, 12:23 AM
The part #'s are 122-14-130 for the rear and 122-14-150 for the front. These #'s are out of JEGS racing magazine, but I believe they are the same #'s from Summit racing. I moved the rear axle back about 6 1/2" and moved the front forward 12", so the wheelbase will be 97". I got the fuel cell from Summit racing and its a 10 gallon fuel cell. There ya go mr.weezman, keep the questions commin:flipoff2:

What is your front setup going to be, 4 link like the rear? One last question how are you going to mount the fuel cell? I'm going to be doing a very similar buildup, but with Dana 44's, that's why i'm asking so many questions. I'm 20 myself, so i know where your coming from on the money issue...

BTW: sweet ride bro!!!:smokin:

I like the  stuff laying around too:D

nuttzack
03-07-2002, 07:20 PM
Thanks, as for the front I am gonna do a 3 link setup and its gonna be like the warn coil conversion for the jeeps or like the ford radius arms. I am doing it this way because of space constraints and the because it works well. Scott(rockstomper) has the same set up that I am talking about. The fuel cell has built in tabs for mounting, but you don have to cut a whole in the floor so that the sump can poke through and be level. What kinda link setup are you plannin?

weezman1
03-07-2002, 08:37 PM
I was thinking of running a setup similar to the early bronco in the front. I'm still not real sure. In the rear i'm going to stay with springs (YJ) and see how that performs. i'm in the acquriing stages still; Trying to get everything together before i make my final decisions. I'm shooting for 95-97" wheelbase. Lots more, i'll give more info when i have more time...
