I searched for the last few days and still didnt find what I was looking for. To those of you that have the 57" F-150 springs how are they holding up? Any problem with breaking main leaves?
BTW going in the rearof a SII :flipoff2:
Thanks

I have 1986 full size Bronco springs moved under my frame in my scout. holding up great. Of course my truck has been under construction for over 2 years. But the springs have held that rear end up magnificently. :flipoff2:
The F150 springs should work just fine as SOA. they were designed that way.
I got good lift from it too.

buddy of mine did it on a land cruiser w/ a soa, working out fine...
also the longer the spring the more flex and thats a good thing :flipoff2:

Just what I was wanting to hear :flipoff2: I already paid for alcans up front...will not be doing that again for awhile :barf: Dont get me wrong they work great but the F-150's for the rear will be a couple hundred dollars cheaper :D
Anybody else?
Thanks

they're the same length as stock, i would go longer, get the chevy 63" rears, from a half ton, and put a double shackle on. did it on the rear of mine and i'm running 36" swampers. took it to tellico a few weeks ago and did great. almost never lifted a tire off the ground.

I have them on the front of my scout and they seem to work good, it has been sitting in the shop for a while. I have them on so the short side is to the front and that gives a good approach angle. I have the 3 inch wide springs so i don't think breaking a spring will be a problem.
They are not the same length as a stock leaf, but if i remember right the short side is the same as half of a stock leaf.

On my 800 the 56'' are close tho

I've been thinking about putting this spring in the rear of my Scout II Tera, because its 6" shorter then the Chevy 63". If I go with this spring I'd face the short side to the back, but I was wondering if it'd be worth it.
Any advice is welcome

I'm running then and they have a lot of arch. Which is good as I carry a lot of junk when on the trail. Drill out the metric sleeve to 9/16.
Yep short side to the rear, if you put them in same location the axle will be moved back 4-5" which worked out for me with 38" tires means only trimming on one side.
