I am going to be performing a shackle flip in the back of my 78 bronco. I have already yanked the sway bars out, and I am concerned about the rear end wandering laterally. I will be doing the shackle flip and adding 2" blocks.
Would a panhard bar prevent this side to side motion, with out causing the suspension to bind?
Thanks,
Matt:confused:

There should not be any lateral movement. The shackle flip does not cause any less control of the axle. The sway bar only controls body roll, so I would not worry about more axle movement. If you do find excessive movement, then a panhard would work, but I can't ssee you needing one.

Done a bunch of shackle flips, none have caused the rear to move side to side while driving. I'm sure it doesn't help, but not enough to worry about.

ditto.
The leaf springs provide all the lateral control you need
