Just like it says. I am looking for a good drawing of how the clips and springs go togather in a 14 bolt drumb brakes.

Last time I had to mess with my brakes, I got confused and had a buddy pm a pic to me. Well dont have that pic anymore, and I did not see a good one on billavistas bible.

Actually, my passanger side parking brake is not working, and I dont want to pull off the driverside to compare notes.

Thanks in advance

go to an auto parts store and buy a chiltons manual there like the best repair manuals i think get the one with 1/2 3/4 and 1 ton trucks it includes blazers too but it will show you in detailed directions along with pictures.thats my suggestion.theres almost every repair in the documented so it comes in handy :smokin:

Chiltons manuals are worthless pieces of junk, good only for starting fires, and wiping greasy fingers on. But thats just my humble opinion. I would get the fsm.

I just happened to buy a Chiltons cause I was looking for details on my 14bff drums brakes and found it worthless. I did try adjusting them by pumping the ebrake and regular brake pedal dozens of times while driving slowly forward and back ward, and it made a huge difference. Not gonna pull them apart now.

Thanks for some input. I am pretty sure that the passanger side parking break cable is unhooked or the spring come off, or broke.

I have a chiltons and it does not give a good pic.

Any one else have a good pic?

The best pic you will see is to take the other side off since it is only 8 bolts and compare it to what you have on the side with the problem. It will be easier for you to look at an actual drum brake rather than waste tons of time looking for a fix it manual.

all right all right, got off my lazy ass and just pulled both sides.

It turned out that my parking break bracket had bent and was hitting the bolt that holds the assembly on the axle. That was keeping it from getting tight when I pushed the parking break.

I have the parts for line locks, if once again I get of my ass, I will put those in. If I like them then I will do disc breaks.
