must use at least 1.25 ID tubing... Our tube inserts are made out of hex material and are the better ones on the market as they have a wall that doesnt allow excessive heat to warp the threads allowing your to burn in the tube insert from a strait angle without worrying about bungling your threads.

1.25 is pushing it for thermal expansion distortion on the threads after welding...for best results weld with the heims joint in the tube insert. We make these in 1/8 increments

not a DD, as for thread pitch, im not sure, its whatever chevy used for their tie rod ends that were 1". i believe its 1"-18 thread.

what can you do for a hi misalignment joint to fit this?

The only solution I can provide is to get rid of that shaft completely and start from a chromoly based shaft and tube inserts to fit....

do you think your high misalignment heims are strong enough for a tj on 1 ton axles? or am i better off buying the 1x 1 1/4 heims? i like the idea of not needing the spacers

at 29,000lbs ea you can get away with them in the links but not the steering. You would be better off to get our 7/8 Teflon kevlar (that can endure mud) and some hi-misalignment spacers from another vendor. ..or just some stainless steel washers. You probly wont run our of misaligment with one of our rod ends so a stainless tube on either end would probly be enough. Now if your going coil over shocks then misaligment spacers arent a bad idea.
