My rear leafs are pretty much flat at this point. I know it is very difficult to find aftermartket leafs that will give you a lift. Anyone know where to go? Calmini is coming out with some that will give a 3" lift but that will not be till the end of the summer.

Thanks

Yeah, you can just sell that piece and get yourself a CJ7 with a ford engine and a dodge front end and call it good!! :flipoff2:

Kidding aside .... Look at Alcan they make very good springs both Coil and Leaf all custom, but you pay for it!!!!

Fixed it for ya...and yeah you have a much better chance of picking up chicks with that mall crawler at the mall, than you do at the trail....then again the trail has been good to me!! Oh Mandolin!!

So did you ever get your Alcan springs ? How's the truck sit? You have any Mall flex shots?

if there's none broke why don't you just add a leaf (thin one if offroading) and arch them up for your 3"?

there is a site called 4x4parts.com and they sell replacement leaf packs for the rear, they also have add-a-leaf......

I broke a stock main leaf on my Frontier and went with a set of Allcan springs. They were supposed to provide 4 inches of lift but honestly they didn't have much more arch than the stock set. Now they've already settled in back and it's only been a few months.

go have them arched up and if you can add a leaf to prevent them from settling any more. The problem you get with lifted springs are that they are made for articulation and not for hauling...just due to the arch it takes longer for the underload to engage and serve it's purpose.

Then you probably did not spec. them right Rondo. I worked mine out on paper before I called them and was predicting 3.5" of lift. That's what I got. They settled all of about 0.5" in over a year. I don't drive it much unless I'm wheeling it, so they get a work out. I still like my Alcans.

My springs new also sagged on the passenger side, my only guess was the weight of the gas tank on that side but the salesman said that was accounted for. So i'm a bit at a loss. I added a leaf to that side to level it out. Looks slightly butch. And I do carry a bit of weight in my rig; when i'm loaded for a 4wheeling trip I pack water, gas tools, and with my custom spare tire bumper it must be too much weight for the truck. I should have ordered 6" leafs. Instead of screwing with custom packs i may just load up some toyota springs and use those at about 1/2 the price.

The Las set of springs I had on my frontier were a complete custom set...

Frontier Main Leaf, and possibly Secondary Leaf. In addition to that, I had some Worn 3" YJ Lift Springs. The Lifted YJ's acted as AAL's and provided the slight extra lift. They rode well, and Flexxed well, and I always carried a lot of junk in the bed of my truck... Tools, Spare Tire, Hi-lift, cooler, etc.....

Hey there....first time post here...but NOT a newbie. I also have the Jeep YJ springs on my frontier as well as my worn rancho AAL...at first the YJ springs gave too much lift, but together they settled out to a bit more than 3"....

Mine don't flex as well as the stock pack did, but I also put a 3" BL on at the same time, so maybe it's just that my tire isn't stuffing as far...but it's still flexing as much.

I also had to cut about an inch off the front of the spring to keep it from binding.
