80 frame width q

I was gonna swing by and pick up some 1/8" 3"x4" steel on the way home to box the front of my frame with (front crossmember).

3' should be enough right?

I believe so, I seem to remember it being 34.5" Let me see if I can find the correct dimension, give me a few minutes.





Okay, I never found the exact measurement, but I remember when doing our belly pan it being around 29" between the frame rails. I think the 34.5 is between the centerlines. You should be fine with 36" of steel.

now I'm just wondering if I'm gonna need to extend the frame for my 44044 springs, might just wait till tomorrow for the steel. I gotta compare the front of leaf to centerpin measurements of the stock and the 44044 to see how much forward I need to mount the 44044's.
