im not sure you will get much of an answer on here. check out a search for 88-98 and look at zkrawlers truck.
if yer gonna do it yerself then i would suggest 52" springs up front, they are the stock rear springs out of the old obs chevy trucks. they have better ride and flex and the stock ones give you like an auto matic 4" of lift.
you can utilize the hangers off of a older truck like the ones you can get the springs from and fab them to yer frame.
check out gmfullsize.com, offroad-tech.com, and fullsizechevy.com.....they would be more your style.

if you will search for my name on here you should find everything you need to know, only thing is i used a chevy front axle instead of a ford axle, i swaped t-cases to make it work, you can use the chevy np208 to put you driveshaft on the pass side and far as i know the shift linkage will work as well

Yeah that's me. :D I basically followed the same steps as zkrawler_04 ( i saw his posts here and decided to do the same on mine, except with a shorter wheelbase, like 116") I started with a 2wd tho, mot reall muck difference, mostly just the ifs hangers in different spots, and the 2wd x member is retardedly huge.
This link should give you all the info you need, it's where i found all my info, and convinced me that my idea of turning my tow rig into a rockcrawler might work.

thanx guys those links helped a TON! i already pickup 52" sprins and am gettin hangers and shackles. i was wonderin how u guys did the brake lines and drivlines and little stuff like that.i have the 241 and was thinkn to do a SYE kit. im runnin a hp dana 44 with chevy outers. just wonderin if some 88-98 aftermarket brake lines would work or do they gotta be custom made? how much did u have to pay for all the drivlines. just tryin to estimate cause its my daily driver and cant really afford to have it down too long. thanks for all the help

I made my brakelines using steel braided peices from racecar shop. Take the ford line with you and they can match it up to just about anything. I got 24" lines with two adaptors and it cost me about 6-70 bucks. Any "good spring shop should be able to make them for you, if not have some already. When i had some made, he told me to measure from the top of the spring down to the bottom of the plate, where the washer and nut would be, and how long the threads you will need. The spring would be 2 1/2" wide so that's a no brainer. Think it cost me $5 per u-bolt with nuts and washers IIRC.

i used brakelines for a 87-older chevy
6" procomp ones, but they pull tight at full droop
