I have a king pin 79 front d-60 with the old style 2 piston brake set up. If I could find the caliper brackets, slides, etc, from a later model king pin d-60 front would it all interchange ? My knuckels are 5 bolt and the newer ones have 5 bolt too, up untill 97 ? And if it would it be worth doing ? Is it a better set up ? Mine have been welded & shimmed up a lot of times and it's all wore out.

Never mind. Went to a junk yard today and now I see why it wouldn't work. I'd have to get the steering knuckle, they did away with the caliper mounting bracket & put the mount on the Knuckle.

Dr. Doom,

I believe after 1992 they did that.

But my 1991 Dana 60 with Kingpins still have the Caliper Brakets separate.

They should interchange, but I am not sure about it or not

I've seen some swap kits that use the Chevy calipers. I did't check into them, but I do believe that it has been mentioned here on the BB within the last few months.
