Well, the new Accel 14#/hr injectors are in. The job took about 2 hours, including removing the lower plenum so I could remove the fuel rail. Only hang-up was the fuel pressure regulator I purchased does not fit my fuel rail  frickin' EBay...but serves me right for trying to be cheap :D

So...how does it run? I don't know. My battery is dead :D I'll post an update later this afternoon with the results. Will it run better? Pendy is betting on it :nuke: right in the driveway. We'll see

Okay, truck runs fine. For that matter, runs great. Idle is smooth and ignition is still advanced a lot...so I'm guessing it's not running lean with these smaller injectors, otherwise it would be pinging.

Trying to diagnose my alternator right now...it's not charging. I may have it backwards, but shouldn't 12v be coming through the "alt" light circuit to the alternator? The alternator serves as the "ground" fot the "alt" light circuit when the ignition is on but engine not running, correct? The "alt" bulb is otherwise good...

...and last but not least...I'm still reading a "45" code, which is lambda sensor/circuit on right bank. I've had this code plenty of times before and the lambda sensors are new...so, should I expect the wiring to have issues (I'm heading out to check the voltage on the leads...)? What if there were an exhaust leak on that side?

Anyway, I'll get my charging system fixed and maybe I'll drive it again :D

More fun stuff...replaced the fuel pick-up with one Pendy sent me. Woo hoo...I've got a working fuel gauge now. Also replaced the fuel pump...the new one is a lot less noisy than the old one :D

Now I've got the "44" code going...the other lambda sensor. Great. So, tomorrow I'll call around and see if a few shops have a Rovacom available...I'm sure the dealership does, maybe another Rover/Jag shop in town might. I'll have to finagle a diagnositic visit...maybe see if they will let me troubleshoot on my own for an hour.

Anyway, the lambda codes can't be good...both sensors are new.
