I am doin a SOA on my 76 (once the 75 got one it was only a matter of time). It has trailmaster stiffass liftsprings and i want to make em flex better, so whattya think, buggy spring em with some stockers as top 1/4's ?? Or take a few leaves out (rather not but might be the only option? Since it is gunna be full width , maybe just the added leverage will help enough ??
thanks
Dan

I suspect it will actualy flex quite well... SOA just kind of does that.

Just do it, THEN play with it. You could always swap out a couple leafs for some out of a stock pack.. That would lower it and soften it up a bit....

Another thing to consider:

If you have Trailmaster springs, do you have the shocks too? The old TM shocks that I had were valved so tight that it felt like I had bricks instead of springs....just a thought in case you do have these shocks.

Add a full cooler, 3 or 4 spare axle shaft assemblies, a couple driveshafts, some tools, a full size spare, and as many big burly friends with snow shovels as you can fit.

I bet it'll flex then. :D

Better yet.. get some stock springs for the SOA.. sell the Trailmasters.

I think the stiff ass shocks are alot of the problem, i'll ditch em this weekend, see if it helps SUA. As far as the stok spring SOA, that is the setup on the 75, I just want abit more hight out of the 76, so I can fit a set of 35's w/o cutting or bodylift. I always seem to want more lift than I need:)
thanks

Sounds tall and tippy!

That's a lot of lift you'll need to keep the 35s out of the fenders..

I like to sidehill and corner.. I run 31s on my SOA'd full width SII. Makes it hard to flop it. :D

Yup, I think u are right, after all I really don't NEED that much hight , and rollovers suck, maybe i will just sell the 76 and put my time into the already SOA'ed 75...... maybe actually graduated from lincoln lockers and junkyard parts and put in some new stuff?????? but doin the SOA was so much fun, want to do it again, only try some different shit this time.

Yup true dat, havent got a new part cept the bolts in the 75 SOA yet, even runnin a used clutch from a 1200 (12" ) that and brake parts it would really be nice to buy new!!!!! Maybe someday
