It's not pressure, but flow rate. I use 20 cubic feet per hour indoors and out. I only weld outdoors if it is calm, because it only takes a light wind to spoil your weld.

exactly what he said............

remember to keep the tip infront of the weld after letting off the trigger so
you get the most effect of the gas shield before pulling the gun away...
it does make a difference........

I rarely weld outside with a shielding gas. Stick or fcaw outside or on the trail. One good gust and your fighting porosity.
