hey I sank my 90 ranger with a 2.9L 5 spd I dropped in a hole in a deep creek, and the front end went under and died, I didn't try to start it, it got out of the water, and is sitting, now. It happened on saterday night/sunday morning, now it is monday, do you think it will be ok, my friend said that it has an air box so it should be fine, and that I probably only need to change the oil. what do you guys think?

Before you try to start it, pull the plugs and spin it up with the starter. Change the engine oil, transmission, transfercase and axle lube

Exatcly what he said, never start a drowned engine without pulling the plugs and spinning it first.

what they've all said you'll more than likely need to pull the dizzy cap off and dry it out in there too.
