hey guys,
I've got a 75 cj5 waggy 44 front and a narrowed 60 rear, both 60 inches wms to wms.
I'm now ready for my soa, I'm thinking of going with re 1.5 springs or waggy stock springs with 36's. anyone have a similar setup?

ya think these tires make me too top heavy, should I stick to 35's?

:smokin: thanks

35" - 36" what's the difference?

run whatever you get a better deal on. you're going to be high centered either way.

37's, stock YJ's (no lift) and massive sawzall abuse.

38's and dont look back. with the SOA you will have plenty of lift with a little trimmin

Here is an old build pic of my 72CJ6 on 2.5" OME YJ springs SOA on a 60/14bolt on 38SXs. It is a bit heavier than your rig, so it is probably closer to the 1.5" you were talking about. Tires could stuff all the way into the well, but did not rub. Here's a couple of driveway shots for clearance..... Build it and cut to fit.

I have a very similar setup on the front still, shackle back forward with offset springs, but the same height and I have 39.5 Iroks now. Fits great.

I'm a little concerned that 36's might be too big being a cj5, I did streach out the wheelbase to 90 inches (will be 95 one day) and the axles are 60" wms to wms. i'd hate to drop a grand on tires and regret it.

36's are going to only measure out to 35" at the most so just go with them, 36-37" tires won't be horrible at that wheelbase if you arent afraid to trim fenders and keep it low
