The picture was taken in Hunza. One of the bridges broke down and they had to buld something like what you see in the pic.. I think they have rebuilt the bridge now.. I wonder how the large trucks went across...:D

How intense is the hunt for Osama in Pakistan right now.

Are there roving packs of vigianles looking to cash in on the bounty for his head??????

If we could get a POR posse together and get our visas in order, lookout!!!!!!:usa: :usa: :usa:

I dont know if ppl are bunty-hunting for Osmama but I doubt it.. I know that the Border Patrol and the Army and Police of Pakistan are keeping there ears and eyes wide open for the guy.. I thint this topic demands a separate thread....

Definately a different thread, however I was pushing really hard to get the 500th post!!!

Sorry to get off topic:D

The terrain I have seen on news reports as well as the pictures posted here really taxes the drivetrains of all vehicles doesn't it?

Yes it sure does but with virtually all 4x4s having deisel engines, they have lots of low-end torque to help them out..

Yeah that's some pretty sweet shiat. I remember seeing some footage during the HEIGHT of the Sept-11 attacks, that showed some 4x4's "wheelin" (just every-day driving for them it looked like) in the mountains in the area. It looked pretty sweet.

Thanks for the pics, it really shows a nicer (natural outdoors) image of the area.

Well accidents do happen.. they are more common in the nothern areas.. Mostly we hear of some Jeep or rarely a whole bus skidding off the road into a ravine with many casualties.. These brisges are quite old, most of them.. Some are more than 50 years old...

I propose us Pirate 4x4 folk starts saving out money and when the time is right... im guesssing a year or two we do a good will tour of Pakistan wheeling areas. We can coordinate with relief agencys to deliver relief goods to remote area's as well.

I heard once it was around 600 buks to put a jeep in a shipping container and send it to Australia... wonder what it would be to Pakistan. We would need fuel trailers full of regular petrole to haul with us. A few armed gaurds too maybe.

What do yall think?..... Its just crazy enough of an idea that the only folk nuts enough to do it are Pirate 4x4 people, but thats great cause we are the REAL WORLD people that truely represent America.
