500 Cadillac for sale

Anyone need a 500 Cadillac. Head have been rebuilt, with bigger springs, new valves and some porting. Short block needs to be gone through, but in great shape.
Located East of Sacramento. $300.00 take it home.

The heads are from a 73 (small chamber) and the block is a 75 (pistons for large chamber heads). If you didn't change pistons, you would end up with 12/1 compression. This is the problem I had and why I have mismatched parts. The heads only have a few thousand miles on them and the block doesn't look to bad inside, no ridges in the bores, etc.

What valve springs?? How much lift are they good for?? Who did the port work on the heads?? Stock size valves?? Thanks Ron

The springs came from MTS. You can go to their website at http://www.500cid.com/ and check them out. They have a lot of good Cadillac performance parts. The port work was done by a guy in Phoenix who builds race engines for offroad trucks, mostly Fords, but he had a great time building the 500 in my 55 Chevy Truck. Flow benched and all. They have stock size valves, but are stainless with hardened seats. I will also throw in the Turbo 400 that came with the engine. I won't need it. Shipping would cost almost more than the cost of the engine to get it to Kansas.

Hmm... Let me kick it around a bit. I am running some of Al's stuff as well(valve springs/MT 5 cam/etc). What kind of flow numbers did they get if you dont mind me asking?? Was this a full port and polish or just a bowl clean up??
My current 500 is a 76 Model so I would need to do some KB pistons to get the comp ratio in the 9.5 to 10 to 1 range to get them to work. Hmm..but then I could step the cam up and few stages to get some REAL power out of it! Could you send me some pics?? ronfasano@sbcyahoo.net. Thanks
